Golf Car Information

Personal golf cars/UTVs are allowed, and golf cars are available for rent. Whether a personal car or a rental, the following requirements apply to all:

• All golf cars are required to have a permit. Personal golf cars permit fee is $50. The permit fee for golf car rentals is already included in the rental cost. If you bring your own car, permits will be available on site at the gates upon entry, SD State Fair Administration office, or check-in.
• Damages: NB Golf Cars reserves the right to charge for all damages to the car and for lost or stolen items.
• There will be a waiver of rights and release of liability form to sign upon arrival at the show for personal cars, or side by sides/UTVs that are being brought onto the grounds, as well as for golf car rentals. You can also preregister by submitting the waiver, registration form, and payment. If you would like to rent a golf cart, please use the Golf Cart Rental link below (link will not be available until early 2026).
• Only licensed drivers can operate any type of vehicle on the grounds.

The following are NOT ALLOWED:

• Four-wheelers
• Motorcycles
• Mopeds or bicycles

Golf Car Rental:

Reservations: Call 605-275-4653 for reservations. NOTE: Reservations will not be available until after January 2026. 

Rental fees are as follows (permit fee included):

• 2 passenger car - $185 one-day rental. Each additional rental day + $50.
• 4 passenger car - $220 one-day rental. Each additional rental day + $65.
• Paddle-lock: A paddle-lock is recommended for all golf cars. You can bring your own or purchase one from the State Fair for $25.
• Golf cars available Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Hours of Operation: NB Golf Cars will be available on-site June 24-27, 2026, 8 AM – 5 PM. All cars must be returned by 2 PM on Saturday, June 27.

Pickup Policy

Please have driver’s license and sales order number available when picking up a car. Individuals must be licensed and at least 18 years old to pick up car and fill out both a NB Golf Cars rental and Red Power Round Up waiver.

Cancellation Policy

Rain or Shine. No refunds will be issued once reservation is placed. Cars must be returned by 5 PM of last day of reservation period to avoid a late charge, with the exception of 2pm on Saturday, June 27. NB Golf Cars reserves the right to charge for cars that are not returned to golf car compound after the rental term is concluded.
